I provide monthly small-business bookkeeping, specialized law firm bookkeeping, bookkeeping cleanup, and financial advisory. The exact scope is based on your accounts, transaction volume, systems, reporting needs, and how much support you want.
I work best with established or growing business owners who have outgrown DIY bookkeeping, need more reliable reporting, or want someone who will look for problems instead of simply recording transactions. I work with law firms, contractors, real-estate businesses, nonprofits, and other professional and service-based businesses.
Yes. I understand that law firms have more complex financial workflows than the average small business. Support may include operating-account bookkeeping, trust-account review and reconciliation support, case-cost tracking, monthly reporting, and stronger workflows between systems such as Actionstep and QuickBooks Online.
Yes. I regularly untangle overdue reconciliations, duplicated or miscoded transactions, missing accounts, incorrect balances, and reports that cannot be trusted. I review the QuickBooks file first so I can explain what appears to be wrong, what needs to be corrected, and what the cleanup will require before quoting the project.
Pricing depends on your transaction volume, number of accounts, payroll, complexity, cleanup needs, and the level of reporting or advisory support you need. After reviewing your business, I recommend a fixed monthly package so you know exactly what will be withdrawn each month—without surprise hourly bills.
No. I believe your business benefits from two sets of experienced eyes: one professional who works closely with the books throughout the year and another who reviews them from a tax perspective. PMK maintains and reviews your bookkeeping, keeps everything tax-ready, and works directly with your independent CPA or tax preparer on bookkeeping questions. Your CPA then provides that second review and prepares the return.
Your package is customized, but it may include transaction review and categorization, bank and credit-card reconciliations, balance-sheet review, monthly profit-and-loss and balance-sheet reports, cash-flow reporting, and organized records for your tax professional. The goal is not only to close the books, but to make sure the numbers make sense.
We will work closely together during onboarding so I can understand your business and gain access to the right systems. Once the process is established, you will generally answer a short list of monthly questions and provide anything that is missing. I take the bookkeeping workload off your plate, but I keep you involved in decisions that require your knowledge or judgment.
I primarily work in QuickBooks Online and am a QuickBooks Online Advanced Certified ProAdvisor. Depending on the business, I can also work with connected payroll, payment, bill-pay, reporting, and law-practice systems.
PMK Accounting is based in Bennington, Nebraska, and serves businesses throughout Omaha and the surrounding communities. I also work remotely with businesses outside the local area using secure online systems.
Monthly services require a 30-day cancellation notice rather than a long-term commitment. Payments are made by recurring ACH, so your monthly fee stays predictable and there is no invoice to remember each month.
We begin with a no-pressure conversation about your business, what is happening in the books, and what you need help with. If it sounds like a good fit, I review your QuickBooks file and recommend the right scope and next steps.
